કવિનો પરિચય:

હરિન્દ્રનાથ ચટ્ટોપાધ્યાય એ બહુવિધ પ્રતિભા ધરાવનાર વ્યક્તિ હતાં . તેઓ અંગ્રેજી ભાષાનાં -કવિ, એક્ટર, નાટ્યકાર, સંગીતકાર, તેમજ લોકસભાના સભ્ય પણ હતા. તેઓ Nightingale તરીકે ઓળખાતા સરોજીની નાયડુનાં નાનાભાઈ હતાં. તેમને પદ્મશ્રીના એવોર્ડ ભારત સરકાર તરફથી એનાયત કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો.

In days that now are gone 

Which on a hundred battlefields , 

Glittered and gleamed and shone ; 

But now that I am brimming with 

The silence of the Lord ,
